Helping with clean up

Good Day to you all.

Today I tried to go out with some people and help clean up. It ended up being a really hard thing to do. Everyone is still devastated and in shock. Most people did not want us to help too much and I can understand that. They don't really want strangers picking up their personal things. I think that most people have to do it themselves to be able to say goodbye to all of the items that they love.

It just broke my heart.

I took some pictures to let you see just how bad it is.

Tomorrow is Easter and there was a great group of people that made up Easter baskets and were walking thought the neighborhood passing them out to children.

It was so great for the children to get their minds off the tragedy.

Lowes Home Improvement Pays employees

Lowes Home Improvement is paying all employees for this week of work that they lost due to the tornadoes destruction.

This is such a great thing that Lowes is doing. I didn't get this information from the news. I have a friend who just started working at the store that was demolished. She is a seasonal employee and has only been there two weeks. 
They are paying her, her normal pay for this week. 
They have also placed her temporarily in a nearby store during the rebuild starting next week so she can have time to grieve this shocking event.

Stores that do this kind of thing need our business!

I also heard that Food Lion grocery store is doing the same thing.

That kind of employee protection is not something that is normally seen!
